About Toastique Dupont Circle
Toastique Dupont Circle DC – Health Food Restaurant, Cafe and Coffee Shop
Toastique Dupont Circle is a cafe in downtown DC serving gourmet toasts, smoothie bowls, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, coffee, and espresso. We opened on N Street in September 2021, right when people were figuring out what going back to the office actually meant. Turns out, they wanted coffee that tasted like something and breakfast that didn't come wrapped in cellophane. This was actually the first Toastique to add espresso to the menu.
We're a block south of Dupont Circle, between 19th Street and Connecticut Avenue. The Phillips Collection is a short walk up 21st Street. Embassy Row runs along Massachusetts Avenue just north of here. Professionals duck out between meetings, museum visitors stop in after browsing Renoir and Rothko, hotel guests wander over from the Madera. Street parking lines the block, and there's an SP+ garage right across the street.
Our Juice Bar and Acai Bowl Shop
Our juices are cold-pressed and come in glass bottles. Recharge for something citrus-forward, Detoxify if greens are what you need, Radiance for that carrot-ginger combination. Wellness shots like Immunity and Booster work for mornings when you're short on time but want something with a kick. The smoothie bowls draw people in. Acai Smoothie Bowl with blueberries and banana layered on top. PB+B with peanut butter drizzle and granola. Matcha Bowl if you're after something earthy. People photograph them before eating, which we take as a compliment.
A Cafe That Takes Toast Seriously
At most places, toast shows up as an afterthought. Here it's the main attraction. Ours come out on wooden boards, layered and arranged like composed dishes. Avocado Smash with watermelon radish and microgreens. PB Crunch with banana, strawberries, and blueberries on top. Smoked Salmon with cucumber and lemon. Tomato Burrata when you want something richer. Spicy Crab for some heat. Each one gets assembled when you order, and people tend to pause before taking a bite.
A Coffee Shop and Espresso Bar Built Around Your Order
We were the first Toastique to add an espresso bar, which felt right for this neighborhood. Full menu here. Americano, latte, cappuccino, cortado, flat white, cafe au lait. Nitro cold brew on tap. Collagen lattes in several flavors if you want to try something different. Oat milk, almond, coconut available. Coffee is smooth and consistent, which matters when you're stopping in before a 9am meeting or after class at Epic Yoga down the block. Some people grab a table by the window. Others are out the door in two minutes. Works either way.
Start Your Morning With Breakfast That Fuels
Mornings in Dupont Circle have a certain rhythm. Consultants heading to K Street, staffers walking toward think tanks, tourists making their way to Embassy Row. Breakfast fits into all of that. Matcha Bowl or Cocolada Bowl if you want something light. Avocado Smash or Tomato Burrata toast when you need more. Green Machine smoothie if you're rushing to catch the Metro. Add a cortado or cold brew and you're set. Sit in or take it with you.
Brunch That Happens Every Day
Brunch runs daily here, not just on weekends. Walk in on a Wednesday after visiting the Phillips Collection and you'll find the same menu. PB Crunch toast with strawberry and banana. Acai Smoothie Bowl in that bright pink with fresh fruit layered on top. 3 Cheese Italian if savory sounds better. Nobody takes your name, nobody makes you wait outside. Order at the counter, find a spot, and enjoy something good. Bring friends or come solo.
Lunch That's Quick But Actually Good
Lunch around here usually means fitting something in between calls, meetings, or museum visits. We get that. Toasts are filling but not heavy. Smoked Salmon and an Orange Crush smoothie. Mango Tango Bowl when you want something fresh. Grab-and-go options if you really can't sit. People walk over from the office buildings along Connecticut Avenue, stop in between errands, duck in before heading up to Adams Morgan. Eat, feel good, keep moving.
Find Us In Dupont Circle
We're at 1899 N Street NW, one block south of Dupont Circle between 19th Street and Connecticut Avenue. Dupont Circle Metro on the Red Line is a short walk. Street parking is available along the perimeter, and the SP+ garage is right across the street. The Phillips Collection, Embassy Row, and the fountain are all nearby.
Stop by whenever. Before a meeting, after yoga, between museums. We'll have something fresh ready.
